Launch Event- Global women Network, Ludhiana Chapter
16th March, Ludhiana
The launch of GWN Ludhiana chapter was held on 16th March, 4-6 pm at InCube8er (co-working space), Kochhar Market. This meet was addressed by mentors from Delhi- Ms. Nidhi Lal (Co-founder GWN), Dr. Prerna Taneja (Co-founder GWN), Mr. Deepak Goel (Founder Karma Circles) and Mr Amit Mishra (Founder ID8 India Ventures) .Inspirational women of Ludhiana were invited as guest speakers and enlightened the audience by sharing their stories. Ms. Swati Paliwal will be heading the GWN Ludhiana chapter.
“Grand Finale - Tipping Point 1.0”- workshop
2 nd February 2017 at GTBIT, New Delhi
Tipping point 1.0 was concluded at the Grand Finale, a live pitch session on 2 nd February 2017. Based on the consumer voting and virtual investing, twelve finalists made it to the Grand Finale. Final four winners were DSD Infosec (Pragti Chauhan), Evoxyz (Shilpa Bhatnagar), Glam Studios (Sadiya Naseem), and SaralHai (Varuna Bhambhani). All 4 winners got a Kindle and gift hampers sponsored by Baba Elaichi. Pee Buddy also gave cash prizes and gift hampers to the winners.
At tipping Point 1.0 , all 24 finalists went through the rigorous process of knowledge workshops, personalized mentoring sessions and created their videos pitches. This was also accompanied by profiling of all finalists by media sites such as Sheroes, GloballySpotted, SMEPost, Storified, HerSaga, StartupsJourney, Hocalwire, Jan ki Baat, ChaiPaani, SheThePeople, and Feministaa. Towards the end of January, all finalists did an AMA (Ask me Anything) session via Facebook to collect votes from their supporters. Simultaneously, investors across the world reviewed their video pitches and invested "virtual money" in up to 3 startups. Investor panel included Goldman Sachs, Bertelsmann, Scale Ventures, SAIF Partners, Indian Angel Network, Nexus Venture Partners, Matrix Partners, Indian Angel Network, NextGen Venture Partners, and 500 Startups.
"What investors look for in a business"- workshop

What is the purpose of investor deck and what all it should include? In this workshop Tipping Point 1.0 finalists learned to create compelling investor decks by avoiding common mistakes. Compelling decks are concise, visual, tell a story, give investors enough to get excited about, but also leave them wanting more.
“Learn from the Masters – Content Special” workshop was conducted
15th December 2016 at IIT Delhi.
The workshop was conducted for Tipping Point1.0 finalists and aimed at discussing strategies for creating compelling content for a Start-Up. Ketan Dewan (Founder-Telocity ) & Ashok Mahiwal (Director – Usercible UX & CRO Consulting) took sessions on content strategy and gave advice to participating start ups in one –on – one mentoring session .
Tipping Point 1.0 launch
10th December,2016 at IIT Delhi .
Tipping Point 1.0 was a unique pitch competition aimed at showcasing the best of women entrepreneurs in India. Tipping Point provided extensive visibility & mentorship to the women entrepreneurs and gave them opportunity to pitch their products/businesses through a series of competitive rounds.
The panel included Radhika Shapoorjee, Talish Ray, Anil Chikkara, Anshu Mor, Deepak Goel, Nidhi Lal and Prerna Taneja . Each of the panelists gave keynotes with a focus on women entrepreneurship and introduced the audience to their inspiring entrepreneurial journey.
Later, the event witnessed a workshop by Anshu Mor, Founder and CEO of Talking Mime Pvt Ltd. on “Weaving story of a successful business”. He is the ex-Director of Microsoft, where he managed Interactive business entertainment (Xbox) .
Social Meet Up

A social meet up at Siansh was organised by Ms. Sunita Agarwal for fellow Global Women Network Members. It was a fun get together where Sunita Agarwal- director at Siansh conducted an innovative gift wrapping workshop and gifted all the members beautiful hand made gota rings!!

Director – Divine Life institute, Dr. Saroj Maloo conducted a workshop on wellness and social meet up for Global women network Members. Dr. Maloo talked about Naturopathy and treatment through five basic elements of body.

Global Women Network successfully concluded the “Power Conclave 2016” with the vision of women empowerment and enablement.
They got immense support in their endeavour of empowering Women as the emerging force of India from the likes of CEOs such as Mr. Rahul Narvekar (India Network), Dr. Ritesh Malik( Creator – Innov8), Mr. Deepak Goel ( Founder – KarmaCircles),Mr. Amit Mishra (Inc. 42).
The first session centered on the Women entrepreneurial ecosystem scenario in India and looked into the key challenges and solutions in the area. The session turned very engaging courtesy of dynamic participation. The panelists namely Mr. Rahul Narvekar concluded the session with a huge announcement about starting a Global Women Network Fund to help women entrepreneurs.
The second and final session aimed at sharing real life stories of struggle, persistence, intelligence and success and gave insights into how persistence and proactive thinking can change any excuse into an opportunity. Among those who shared their experiences were, Founder and CEO of Jet Set, Ms. Kanika Tekriwal, Founder of Chaipaani.com, Ms. Shruti Chaturvedi, Co-Founder Delhi Startups, Delhi Angels, Shivam Ahuja.
Workshop On “Successful Business Plan”

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Rajan Bhatia (Managing Partner at Global CFO ) and was attended by Global women Network members . In this workshop detailed step by step procedure of writing a business plan was shared with all the members.
Kaliedo Business Exhibition
23rd July 2016 at Holiday Inn, Delhi.
Global Women Network members showcased their services and products at Kaliedo Business Exhibition. The Exhibition was inaugurated by Mr.S. K. Bagga (MLA of Krishna Nagar , Delhi Vidhan Constituency ). The exhibition got an overwhelming response and witnessed a footfall of 10000+.
